Who are we?
Mellifica is a non-profit-making association which aims
at the study and the protection of the indigenous black bee. In
a priority way, association is occupied of the selection and the
conservation of black bee.
Mellifica association is installed in Aquascope Virelles (Chimay, Belgium) where it has of an apiary-école and a station of fecundation open to all the bee-keepers.

The last but one Sunday of June, association invites you
to one day "carries open". Download your invitation here at the
proper time in order to profit from the admission free (the station is
integrated into the center of interpretation of the nature of Aquascope Virelles)

Since December 2004, Chimay is a protected zone:
only the black beekeeping is authorized on the territory of this
commune
